Fontsanta Hotel Thermal & Spa - Adults Only

“I had a great experience at Fontsanta Hotel Restaurant. I was really impressed by the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and the quality of service. The food was excellent, and the adults-only setting made it feel even more relaxing and special. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for a calm and refined dining experience.”

“We spent our honeymoon at the Fontsanta hotel and had the most relaxing trip. Very grateful for the excellent service we had from all of the staff. We loved the spa- the heated sauna and the ice room was a favourite. The swimming pools were lovely, with plenty of space to relax by the pool. The sunbeds have a QR code you can scan to order food/drinks to be brought to the poolside which worked really well. The room service to the room was also great - highly recommend the ham croquettes. The rooms were spacious and clean. We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine on arrival, and went on to find some macarons and a bottle of sparkling wine in our room which was lovely. Breakfast was a continental selection and there was an option to order hot food as well - pancakes, omelettes, eggs etc. Really great selection, all very fresh and lots of healthy options. The hotel's location is a little remote- we took a taxi to one of the nearby towns Colonia. It was a set fee of 25euros each way - quite pricey! But if you dont have a car there's no public transport so you're a bit stuck. The hotel restaurant was delicious - breakfast, dinner and we tried the tasting menu as part of the honeymoon package- absolutely delicious and the matching wine was perfect. Such a relaxing, peaceful environment. The only areas for potential improvement- some areas in the thermal spa could do with some maintenance/deeper cleaning to ensure they were as clean as the rest of the spa. We also had a couples massage as part of the honeymoon package but when we arrived and tried to book this - we were told they didn't have any availability to book us in together. We ended up having two separate massages on different days which was still nice but not what we had paid for. We also borrowed e-bikes to cycle to the nearby es Trenc beach. We couldn't figure out where the hotel's beach building was so didn't try that out. We also didn't realise the cycle route to the beach is short - only 15mins or so but the start is down a big road with cars going really fast past us which wasn't that pleasant! The beach itself was also very crowded, lots of seaweed in the shallows and not that great in our opinion. But really overall we had an excellent time at the Fontsanta and really did not want to leave. Highly recommend this hotel and loved every minute we were there.”

“We stayed at this lovely, relaxing hotel for 5 nights after visiting Palma. The Michelin-starred restaurant was delicious but pricey, and staff didn’t clearly explain dining options like the tasting menu, which required advance notice. Not having a rental car was a drawback, though reception helpfully arranged one for us. The spa was great with unlimited access, but the Jacuzzi didn’t work properly and treatments were fully booked until our last day. Our deluxe double room with terrace was spacious, though only one bottle of water per day for two people was inconvenient, and extra requests weren’t always fulfilled. Overall, a nice stay—ideal for a weekend or if you have a car.”

“Read carefully if you value quiet and tranquility in your hotel room. We booked a courtyard room - and arrived to have room n18 - the first room in the corridor leading away from the entrance and the reception. We didn’t think anything of it - until we tried to get an early night at 11pm but couldn’t sleep with the loud corridor & entrance noises filtering through the door. The next morning was even worse - we were awoken by the receptionist telephone and greeting of new guests at 7am, followed by 2 loud interruptions by the cleaning staff before 9am. When we mentioned the issue to the staff, they replied “well yes indeed it’s the closest room to the reception so it’s not completely unreasonable that you get some noise - but frankly this is a more common complaint from room n1, not room n18”. Since there were no free rooms they couldn’t move us, and so once again the next morning we had the same fiasco when we tried to move in. Honestly not the experience you expect from a 5 star, nor the kind of customer service you’d expect when raising this sort of issue. In Mallorca where you are spoiled with excellent 5 star hotels to choose from - if you value your holiday sleep, I could recommend you stay anywhere but here. The rest of the hotel is lovely, great spa and restaurant.”

“Overall, this was a very pleasant stay. We chose this property because of its proximity to Santanyí, close enough for easy access (about a 20-minute drive) yet far enough to feel removed from the busier areas. We has a rental car so this was acceptable for us. At first glance, the grounds are stunning, well maintained, and the on-site parking is a welcome convenience that not all properties offer. Rooms Rooms are clean and receive evening turndown service. We stayed in the main building where the reception and spa are located. While convenient, this did mean we could hear other guests in the mornings and evenings. If peace and quiet are a top priority, this is worth considering when booking. Spa & Amenities The outdoor pool area is pleasant, with towels readily available. The spa, however, felt somewhat dated for a 5-star property. That said, it does offer a unique feature: the only thermal spa on the island with subterranean origin. The thermal area includes multiple baths and a thermal pool. The dry sauna was excellent - well-heated and conveniently located next to an ice room. Guests also have access to bikes and beach bags, and we were told a beach is just a 10-minute ride away. Dining The highlight of our stay was, without a doubt, the dining. Every dish we tried was exceptional. Though on the pricier side, the quality absolutely justified it, especially in a region where high quality dining options are limited. The ceviche and steak were prepared perfectly, and the included breakfast was generous, offering both a buffet and a made to order menu. Overall A beautiful property with some areas for improvement, but the excellent dining and unique thermal spa experience made our stay memorable.”
