“Our stay at this hotel was truly wonderful from start to finish. I honestly can’t thank everyone enough — from the reception team to room service and all the staff for their genuine hospitality, kindness, and welcoming attitude throughout the stay. The breakfast experience was amazing, especially with the beautiful sea view and relaxing atmosphere every morning. We stayed during the New Year season before, and now again during the beginning of summer, and both experiences were equally beautiful and memorable. Even though it’s clearly a very busy season, the team still maintained their warm smiles, professionalism, and excellent service at all times, which made the experience even more special. We stayed in the historic palace section, which made the experience feel even more special and unique. The room had a stunning view that you could wake up to every morning! absolutely breathtaking. “We stayed in both the historic palace quarters and the new building. The palace had its own personalized butler service and our suite had large windows overlooking the strait that also turned into Juliet balconies. Beautiful. However it was unfortunate that we were not notified of an event that would be happening in the yard right in front of our room until we moved into the suite. We were too exhausted from a long day of traveling to discuss it at the time of notification, and thinking it would probably be fine, but the event was actually right in front of our room and very loud and certainly disrupted our sleep. We were told that there are many events happening at this hotel all the time. This is actually understandable as the palace is certainly historic and magnificent, however to be reserving such a premium room for our stay I would think these events should be notified at least a week before check-in, certainly not after we have arrived at the room. We decided to move into the new building a day earlier than planned due to this incident. And this was facilitated well and swiftly by the head butler, which we appreciated. However at the reception there was also no communication on the price difference of our rooms and the appropriate refund that we should have received. Overall a great 5-star hotel, but coordination between rooms and events can be improved”
